I have been approved to go to Primes Orientation

thanks so much I was going to bring some cash maybe around 300 bucks . I bought a duffle bag and I can fit at least week and half of clothes in it along with all the other stuff. Soap tooth brush etc and sleeping bag. I do have my permit hopefully that should spe

ed up the process.

Supplies.... mainly just food, clothes and hygiene stuff. I think at Prime, you do not get to go home before going out with your trainer. So, sleeping bag. Pack as light as you can because you will not have much room during training on the truck. You don't need much cash with you. If you have a check card, it will work for most things you will need. To be safe you may need cash for the DMV. This is a good link on here that may help you

I got into prime!!!!

double-quotes-start.png

This is awesome news. I was a little worried when I got a call from my Recruiter. asking about a minor charge I caught when I was 18. But all is well training day starts 9/1 no way am I sitting on my butt for 35hrs on a bus. I bought an airline ticket for 118 bucks pretty sweet deal... only is an hr and half ride. just wondering how much cash should I bring ? any ideas what supplies would I need ?

My budget when I first started out was $20 for each day I was out, that's actually pretty low in my opinion but I was on a tight budget because I still had bills to pay back home.

yea me too im kinda worried about losing my car. I feel your pain

I got into prime!!!!

Holy cow my bus ride Saturday is going to be 29 hours so I looked at airline tickets and it woulda been over 500 dollars. I'd drive if I could but it's a thousand miles and my lifted truck gets 10 of those per gallon

oh man good luck ... what location are you going too?

questions about prime

double-quotes-start.png

Well for starters I was going to go to MTC Trucking school in Hazelwood, MO but I read awful reviews. Can anyone tell me if there a good school or not? Second I did some shopping around for free cdl training. I found so far that Prime seems to be the best. I read great reviews on here . SO with that being said I called up talk to someone got them all the info they needed im waiting for a call back tomorrow. So went to dmv week earlier studied and got my class A permit in ny. So my question is will they honor my permit from ny ?

Thanks

Yes they will.
