Eating healthy on the road

Hello everyone it's been awhile since I've been in here. I have been super busy and in my third week training on the road with TMC. I remember Daniel B had a good bit of advice in the healthy eating dept. can you share the link to them plz. Again thank you all who put in the hard work on this site. I was on quite a bit before I decided to pursue life on the road. I am loving it so far.

Medical question

That exact thing happened to me with blood in the urine. and Schneiders Doctors told me to have it checked out immediatley. he said it could be kidney stones or bladder cancer among other things. So i am making an appointment to find out. I hope it is just a false positive. Also it did not have any effect on my passing the DOT urinalisis test.

Did they send you home?

Medical question

Thanks for the replies. I will get my records and take pics so they are in the cloud. That's a great idea. Thank you. G, that is exactly how it went for me. Doc said some people have a trace and it's no cause for concern.

Medical question

Hello all! I have a medical question and hopefully someone can give me some insight. I have traces of blood in my urine. About three years ago I was really sick and the doctor ordered a urinalysis and blood work. They found blood in my urine and he suggested going to urologist for further testing. I got the whole camera up my you kno what and everything looked good and he told me that some people just have traces of blood in their urine and it's nothing to worry about. I got my DOT med card no problem. Doc was satisfied with what I told him I guess. I'm headed to TMC next week and just wondering if they are gonna hassle me about the blood in my urine.

List of necessary items for orientation and OTR training

Hello everyone! I am headed to TMC orientation on Monday the 22! So excited! Is there a list of items I should take with me in here somewhere. Aside from enough weather appropriate clothing and toiletries. Are there any items I should consider.

13 speed transmission

Thank you for all the insight. Sounds like it will be a breeze. Just was wondering how it all worked. Shifting in a truck is nothing like a four wheeler. I've driven manual all my life so that was quite an adjustment. Michael, I hope they don't put me in an auto. I enjoy shifting and feel like you would have more control?

13 speed transmission

Hello everyone! Now that I've passed my tests and will most likely be going to TMC for orientation the end of February I'm curious how the thirteen speeds work. We had 10 speed trans in school and took some practice to shift properly. I had a hard time remembering what gear I was in and to push the selector down when I came to a stop in 6th gear. Now the ten speed is a pretty simple concept. 5 low 5 high. So what in asking is how does the thirteen work?
