Have a CDL but never used it

I am in the same boat as you and about 2 years away fron using it. I would call a company that offers trying and see where I stood and go from there.

Burnt My leg - looking for advice (including pics of the burn)

It looks good to my eyes. The skin is healing, I wouldn't worry too much. A doctor will look and most likely give tylenol anyway... From my experience, burns heal much faster when exposed to fresh air. Greasy medications slow down the process.

that's what i would do

Feel terrible

I'm no trucker but I keep some unusual hours and occasionally get caught needing to sleep and can't I like a half dose of Nyquil Z does trick every time and I can wake up with my senses intact

What is my punishment?

I dont know but I honestly consider your information and experience with this extremely valuable. It puts it in a little different perspective when its not just talk from someone. I think this coming to light could be a good words of wisdom learning tool. So just from me thanks.

I would like to second that

Choosing the right type of trucking

Hi Matt I'm no trucker just a lurker but I would suggest hooking up with a company with multiple types of trucking and switching when possible from say dry van to flatbed and maybe even some reefer and you decide probably would take you a little over three year's but by then you would know what you need to know and have the experience needed to succeed at any and all
