Starting out. Question about Prime recruiting...

Going through the same thing and I've already experienced a company denying me without contacting me about their decision in any form.

Company Application Process

I'm a recent CDL grad who's looking to join a company asap. Now I have my priority companies I'd like to go with but I don't want to spend too much time on one company that's ultimately not interested in hire me.

I know these companies are busy and they have a lot on their plates but my question is how long should I expect to wait during the application process to be given an orientation date?

School and CDL Exam completed

Just successfully completed school and cdl exam thanks in part to the help of the selfless and decent community of members here along with the "High Road Training" Program. I know this journey has only just begun but I wanted to take the time out to thank everyone for this priceless experience. Hope it continues the way it has so far.

My trainer just snapped

I agree with everybody here; stay out of it. One thing veteran truckers stress to me is CYA (Cover Your Ass!). Doing anything more than what's required of you is one sure way to raise your ass for a completely avoidable kicking.

For me it would have never been a question. Decent man? Good trainer? Dedicated experienced worker who's passionate about not only his job but the company along with strong family values who can't have a simple request honored? One thing that tells me: If dispatch doesn't care about him, I know for damn sure they don't care about me. I don't care if the vehicle wasn't leased, I'm a trainee/student driver; I am not obligated to make a single move in this situation. So talk to my trainer who's job and jurisdiction it is regarding the matter; not me.

Forget Switzerland, I'd be Panama. Why are you calling me? I have no army here lol

Previous Injuries

Now I'm soon to be out of cdl school and plan on driving flatbed trucks but I am told often that they are reluctant to hire people who had suffered previous injuries.

I suffered a shoulder injury, got hit by a truck (oh the irony), that didn't require surgery but I got it anyway to restore it as close to its original condition as possible. Not only have I been to 6 months of physical therapy for it but I also participated in combat sports for two years to rebuild it beyond previous strength. I'm more than sure I can pass any physical test that they give me. On top of that, did I mention the injury is more than five years old?

Will this deter companies from hiring me?
