Help! I’m the worst in my class at the reverse lane change!

First time I have been on this forum for a long time. I was just going to lurk, but Robsteeler, your anguish reminded me of when I was at TDDA in Springfield, MO. You hear of people getting in a truck, and taking to it like a fish in water. I was not one of those people. I was like a fish on dry land, flopping around, and doing very badly. I was so bad, that my first straight back ended up in another lane. I took all the reps I could. When others felt like "they go it," and didn't want any more reps, I took theirs. Off set, just as bad. The thing that finally clicked for me, my "ah ha" moment was when one of the trainers words of, "see the big picture," finally clicked in my head. I kept losing a point or two on the test (I had to take it a couple of times. Like I said, a fish on land) because I would hit a cone. On my last test, I saw my tandems where too far way from the driver side cones for me to fit the trailer into the lane without hitting the passenger side cones. I pulled it out and pretty much was able to make it a straight back maneuver at that point, and got it in there with 0 points lost.

Long story short, I have felt your pain. But I finally got my CDL, and so can you. Just relax ( easier said than done) and see the big picture.

Question of deferred prosecution more than 10 years old

In orientation the head of security will come to class and say "if there is anything in your past we will find it. So come see me now if you think there could be an issue. It will help not hurt you".

They seem to be more concerned about lying, sneakiness, and trust than stupid mistakes we made when young. But deny something expecting it to not show up and you will get sent home. I've seen it.

No offense Rainy, but I've seen you post something similar to this many times. This isn't really the truth. I know someone who heard the head of security say what you say he says, and go tell him about an expungement, as you don't want him to find it. That person was told to go home, and they were on their own to do so. Many ppl think an expungement as the state says it is, as that offense being erased. So they arent trying to be sneaky, but Prime will tell them to leave. That is the truth.

Co owning a truck forming a partner ship

A partnership that doesn't run as a team, I would say no.

Before trucking ever get the feeling?...

I've read your other thread, you said you needed your tax return for your fiancée. But why April? Seems like you would have a simple return, which could be done mid January to early February. Also, you're afraid your fiancée's parents will kick her out if you just go. They would have to go to court and have her evicted. That could buy her 30 days.

Then do it man. Trust me, you won't get rid of the itch until you scratch it.

I personally see more risk than reward, especially if you're not going to run team. Not sure how either of you are going to make a profit, or enough profit to make it worth it because if it goes bad, it could go real bad. Then you may have to fork out money to enforce your agreement, and there goes what little you've made. Just my humble opinion.

Fun time - "You're probably not cut out to be a trucker if..."

If you insist you must shower twice a day... or even once a day.

We've had a few of those here.

Man, I am terrible at this :(

Sometimes you have to get creative to get the job done. Brett would be proud.
