Got into an accident today, do you think this will be going on my record?

double-quotes-start.png

I got in my first accident. In the receivers yard. My trailer scraped the corner of a dropped trailer. The receiver said it was between my company and the trailers company. It was a non roadway accident with only the two companies involved no dot involved. Does this go on my cdl or is this just on my company record?

Did this happen today at the LOWES yard in Hagerstown MD?

No happened in aurora, Illinois

Where to set the tandems ?

Thank you for this Info. I been out a couple weeks and have been lucky with my weights being spot on. The trick of putting the tandems under the end of the load works great In my opinion

Final week of cdl school at keenesburg

Passed my cdl. My downshifting still needs work but I didn't lose a point on any backing. Was amazed. Ha

Anyway. My biggest stress is upon me. Stevens transport orientation. 6 guys from our school went to Stevens last week. Only 1 is left. Stevens sent home 5 of them. One for high blood pressure( which I have) one for car accident not reported, one for seizures had when he was a kid, one for a sleep disorder and 1 for unknown reasons

Final week of cdl school at keenesburg

Starting my fourth and final week at careers world wide. Should have tested last week but got held over due to blood pressure issues.

It's final week and the nerves are kicking in. Gotta smooth out my downshifting. My parallel parking is as good as it's gonna get. Straight line backing is nice and tight. Pre trip inspection is good. My in cab and brake check need work. Gotta get the proper flow down.

Odd thing is my air brake is solid but I always confuse wording on parking brake and service brake. Is parking brake considered my trailer brakes?

Greyhound Bus to company-sponsored CDL training

Got on the greyhound today to head to Denver for school in keenesberg. Heading out from Portland,Oregon head east on i-84. Apparently there was a two truck collision with fatalities and also involved hazmat. They closed the road. We been at the truck stop since 630. At 245 the driver told us greyhound is putting us up in a hotel. And we will leave around noon.

I am just worried about getting to school on time and getting situated. But at least greyhound is taking care of a bus load of 26 passengers

So far so good...

Hello Tim,

I am leaving for keenesburg this Friday for Stevens as well.

If you don't mind I had some questions.

What day of the week do you take the permit test?

Also are there a washer/dryer in the housing or a laundry mat?

I have had a really positive experience in this new adventure so far and wanted to share a quick note for others. Here in Keenesburg CO at Stevens company sponsored training the instructors are great. Knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. We got a good group of guys in our housing. If anyone is ever considering going here I recommend it. Thanks Brett and the others here at TT for the help going into this career. So far so good.
