Thank you to all of you that responded, just now kind of figured out how to work the site haha. So I have been looking into going either with prime or kllm, ive read a lot of good reviews on prime and kllm looks intriguing, just not much reviews on it. Looks like they own ffe if I am not mistaken. Any insight on the company sponsored cdl training from either, and what to expect going in? Thank you all in advance

Hello all. Fairly new to this site, actually just registered with the site a few hours ago. I am currently 21 years old and I'm looking into going to a company sponsored cdl training school. I currently work for roadside assistance for many different insurance companies. There is just so much fear of leaving the job that I have now and going to a cdl training program not knowing anything about driving a truck and getting to the program and then they end up sending me home because they dont have the patience. What advice are you all willing to give as far as being 21 and just getting into the trucking industry. I have been researching it for months and it seems like something I would love to do.

R.e. West
Hello all, I just recently came across a company in middle Tennessee called r.e. West. They are a small family owned company who's main customer is a.o. West in Ashland City hauling water heaters. Didn't see many post about them and just wanted to give an update to anyone that might find this useful. They offer paid CDL training with no contract. They will only do the CDL training for people that are Tennessee residents. It is two weeks to get CDL and three weeks with a trainer. Seems like they have pretty good equipment. Late model cascadia's with APU. The starting pay for their dry van is 0.32 a mile which is a little on the lowe side but keep in mind they pay for your CDL and passport and you don't have a contract with them. They are very friendly and the recruiters are very honest. They do have a heavy haul/ flatbed division as well. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.
