Any answers appreciated. Is my career over?

Yes. I had it in my sock. The nurse started frisking my legs while i was sitting on the table as the doc was whispering words for my hearing test. It was quite embarrassing

Best bet is to call them and just ask, taking that fake sample off of you and asking you to leave if that is really what happened is definitely not the norm. My best guess would be Refusal to take the Test would be reported, but I am not a DOT Examiner.

I appreciate the helpful comments. Its a unique situation. The smaller company i was getting hired on with contracts through the larger company so i was going through their orientation even though i would not be working for them. In hindsight i should have waited but i did not expect to be searched and i thought the synthetic urine was a safe play. Happened while the examiner was doing my physical. Trust me i feel stupid. 5 years of professional driving and i never touched an illegal substance. Just curious as to what other drivers think will happen. I didnt get to the drug test or refuse it. Also wondering if a company i was not going to be employed with can report to the dac. The smaller co will still hire me in 30 days if my license is not revoked.

I definitely will. Like i said 5 years otr and i have never done such a thing. Poor judgement one night. Not smart i know

I'd just start applying places and see what happens. Worst thing that can happen is you're turned down, but it's possible they didn't report it.

But please do everyone a favor and don't do this again if you are granted a second chance at this career. Good luck.

Ya thats what im prepared for. A driver i consider a mentor is telling me he did talked to some higher ups in his company and they said since i wasnt an employee and its not illegal to have that they wouldnt put it on the dac just not eligible for rehire.

Any answers appreciated. Is my career over?

Ill make this as short as possible. Been driving 5 years with a spotless record. Recently my dumbass smoked weed and before showing up for orientation I ordered synthetic urine online. Last time i worked for them you did your drug test without being frisked. This time while doing my physical they searched me before my drug test while the doctor was testing my reflexes and found it in my sock. Needless to say i was removed from orientation. My question is even though i did not refuse the test or test positive is this the same as failing? Common sense tells me it is and if so is my career over? And if so for how long? In the end its my fault but I do love my career and I guess Im hoping that there is some slim chance it isnt. I cant find any answers online similar to my situation. Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Will my cdl be suspended or will i just have to find a smaller co that will take a chance on me?
