I'm a 63 year old retired RN. Got sick of the nursing career and retired early. About a year ago I reconnected with my ex husband who is owner/operator and recently incorporated his own trucking company. I've been in the truck with him for about 6 weeks now, crisscrossing the country and he would like us to be team drivers. I have been studying the CDL manual and passed three out of 5 categories on the written exam. I was devastated that I didn't pass them all. I had no background in trucking at all, so I think that I expected too much of myself the first time around. My ex husband is going to teach me how to drive, but I'm super anxious about being able to pass the remaining written tests and the skills exam. Anybody else not pass the written the first time around?
