TruckingTruth Article: Self Driving Vehicles Are Coming Soon You Say? I Say Please Stop Clowning Us

Brett, will give you that one. and NOT BEING negative, however Tesla, MB, Volvo all these high tech outstanding companys spending huge amounts on R@D, make one wonder the motivation. We like our Siri too, but she can not cook!!!! be well.

Hey you need to send Siri to the dungeon lol.... but on a serious note the insurance companies do not even want to hear about 18 wheelers being on the country highways without a driver sitting behind the wheel. If that happens you will see them running through the mountains closing down their trucking departments. Ameliorating the safety features and the living spaces for the drivers is a welcome idea but driverless truck????????wtf.gifwtf.gif

New Podcast: Episode 18: Stop The Fear And Doubt, Focus On Your Own Success

Brett: Enjoyed your stuff over the years. We get into this business for many reasons. It is sad however that the CEO of MB is saying the diesel is dead. Famous for their engines, trucks huge mergers with American manufacterers, who wants to be an OO or be a company guy in a dying industry? With the advent of electric self driving computerized machines, we are true dinosoars. Thanks for the memories!

How many ancient Egyptians with levers, ropes and dirt ramps did it take to load that?

Podcast 10: Terminal Rats Are Derailing Trucking Careers

Brett, Extremely well said and eloquent. It is true in many industries. The proverbial "attitude" is indeed everything. Do everything as a "new guy" to stay gung ho! Thank you.

NEVER SEEN THIS IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!

ONLY in EL PASO, TEXAS. Now I'm NO expert on truck driving, but this just didn't seem right or looked right.Today I saw some idiots trying to haul EIGHT tractors at ONCE. Yes EIGHT!!!! These idiots were forced to make a sudden stop on a red light and 2 of the tractors went forward and hit the tractor in front of it. I was not able to take a picture of it because of the traffic chaos they caused but I wish I would have to share it with everyone on this forum.

Sad folks would abuse machines like that! All for the mighty $!!

Triletter checks in

Brett: Interesting you say about a newby Bobtail staying with same company(of which I agree) However there are so many unscrupulous companies that ruin good relations for other companies. A running % of retention of employees would be outstanding, then all could do the research. Also, it is only human nature to see another outfit that advertises yet again the moon with 6 month experience.Like so many industries much is not what it is advertised of cracked up to be. Great forum, Dan k
