Hey folks, we have something new that's pretty cool and it's quite a bit different than anything we've done before. We call it The Highlight Reel and it's going to be an ongoing series of highlights from across the entire spectrum of the trucking world. It will have a little bit of everything. It will have a large variety of topics that we find interesting, newsworthy, funny, or notable in some way. You'll never know what you're going to find there.

You might find anything. Could be:

  • News from the FMCSA
  • A dog with aviator goggles and a scarf driving a truck
  • A helpful service provided to truckers you may not know about
  • A video of truckers in India carrying 45 people on the roof of the truck like crazy people
  • Great articles we've done in the past that we wanted to bring back to the spotlight
  • Photos of the brightest Christmas decorations you've ever seen on a big rig

......anything and everything that is somehow related to trucking. Although it will have some of your standard trucking news mixed in, the overall focus is going to be on things that are funny, interesting, or unique in some way. When you have a few minutes to spare The Highlight Reel will give you some interesting reading, and certainly a few laughs.

The Highlight Reel is being presented in its own section of the forum so everyone can make comments and discuss the topics we post. This is our official launch so we've just gotten started with a couple of posts. We're going to release at least one or two topics every weekday so there will always be some fresh reading.

You will find the Highlight Reel by going to the main page of this forum (the "trucker's forum" button in the menus at the top of every page).

Here's the link to that page also:

We have a lot of funny, interesting people in our community and over the years we've been asked if we could do something that lets people unwind, have a little fun, and relax when they're in the mood and that's exactly what this is for. Naturally the same standards of conduct will apply to comments that get posted there but now you can have a lot more fun with it.

For those of you old enough to remember, this is kind of like when the town lifted the ban on dancing in Footloose. I can hear Kevin Bacon now saying, "Brett, why don't you chill out a little and let the people have some fun?" So that's what we're doing.

And to Rainy: please, please just.........you know........just have reasonable fun will you? Don't make me turn this car around!
