Hello, I took my DMV test today and was able to pass the Pretrip but I failed on skills because of alley dock. I was able to get it in and the skill done but got 20 points because of all the pull-ups and resets that I done. When I was waiting for other student to take his test I was watching others do alley dock and struggle to do the skill. Is doing alley dock that hard?

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

DMV:

Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles

The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.

It was for me. I failed my first test because of it. I passed it the second time I took it, 3 weeks later with very little practice in that time. (The school was on Christmas/ New Year break.)

Two things that helped me:

1.) Don't look at the cone as a reference point, if you do you will hit said cone EVERYTIME!

2.) Small adjustments. Turn a little bit, then get out of it. Doing this repeatedly will keep you from getting the trailer in beautifully but having your tractor at 90 degrees instead of straight.

Good luck!
