Any advice about knight transportation i have a cdl but no experience just looking for a good place to start have it narowd down to knight or west side if i cant find local soon

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Knight is good. About as good as any other.

I'm currently not happy with them as it seems I can't get a good run going, seems like I'm out a week or two, then I'm back at the shop for a few days for maintenance, but all in all, I can't say anything really bad about them. They have their ups and downs just like the rest of them.

I would say, check out all of your options, as there are a lot of good companies.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

Quick question, Scott. How did you get your CDL? Did you "do it yourself" or did you take a private school/community college type course?

I paid for cdl school 160 hrs

I went to 160 hr school i have an interview with holland tomorrow pretty excited
