Canzel Dat. Not enough experience to head out with Wil-Trans.
Good luck all you starting there! Sounds great!
Darrel Wilson bought his first tractor in 1980 at age 20, but, being too young to meet OTR age requirements, he leased the truck out and hired a driver.
Through growth and acquisition, Wil-Trans now employs over 200 drivers, and has a long-standing partnership with Prime, Inc. to haul their refrigerated freight. The family of businesses also includes Jim Palmer Trucking and O & S Trucking.
Jim Palmer = Wil-Trans = Prime, from what I've been told.

Wil-Trans and Jim Palmer are owned by WIlson Logistics. Wilson Logistics pulls Prime freight with Prime Trailers. Wilson Logistics employees, which include Wil-Trans, Jim Palmer, and O&S are not Prime Employees. Wilson Logistics also has some dedicated accounts that are not Prime related, reason you will see each company has their own trailers. I know someone who works Wilson, I am considering JP.

I've been looked at the Wilson site but can't get a really clear idea... are they (Wil-Trans, East side of things) all 3-4 week OTR? or do they have other runs that would get me home more often?
Looking at Wil-Trans , Heartland Express, US Xpress, and Prime; got CDL over a year ago but no experience since. Need to be home more until life and house are transitioned into trucking life!
Thanks for any input!
CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
OTR:
Over The Road
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
