Thank you to all of you that responded, just now kind of figured out how to work the site haha. So I have been looking into going either with prime or kllm, ive read a lot of good reviews on prime and kllm looks intriguing, just not much reviews on it. Looks like they own ffe if I am not mistaken. Any insight on the company sponsored cdl training from either, and what to expect going in? Thank you all in advance

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Thanks Would that single year covers the CDL training program?

That "single year" is with a regular driver license. After that time you could consider training. And remember you need certain visas in order to work in the United States.

What if someone is already a professional trucker, would such person needs training or CDL too?
