Morning all glad I has finally able to figure out how to login again. Geez I was having some serious brain farts. Been reading the posts and enjoying the commentary. Some real good stuff I might say! If I can add anything I'll be glad to. Some of you remember I was instructing and training at Prime and was happy to help so many students earn their CDL. Certainly was proud of all the students when they received the keys to there own trucks. Have pictures of all of them next to there trucks. Very satisfying!! Back in October one of my first students decided he enjoyed being on my truck rather then being solo And asked if he could jump back on as my co driver. So we have been teaming ever since.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

That's great Brian. You going to be in Springfield this weekend? If so, look me up.
