Go towards the top and enter Pre Trip in the search area, you will find a study guides, practice test and some videos. Just about any topic you can think of can be found using the search option
True, Mike, use the search box to find many things. Follow Lucky Life's lead to search. The best one, our classic, is the one that says "A must see!" in the title.
Here's a couple of links to our pre-trip inspection stuff. The 'study guide' has a bunch of different things - videos, checklists, PDF downloads - all kinds of stuff. The second link is a ton of practice questions.
Our High Road Training Program also has a section on the pre-trip inspection that applies to the written part of the permit exam.
Pre-trip Inspection:
A pre-trip inspection is a thorough inspection of the truck completed before driving for the first time each day.
Federal and state laws require that drivers inspect their vehicles. Federal and state inspectors also may inspect your vehicles. If they judge a vehicle to be unsafe, they will put it “out of service” until it is repaired.
CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
- Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
- Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Title says it all... I've "completed" the high road training program regarding my permit. Figured I'd tackle the pre trip now. What's the best way to go about it? I guess I could start studying for the endorsements in the meantime.
