I was on a two lane road in Yellowstone park at 0300, in high winds and ice....five foot high snow walls on each side when I came upon a Buffalo in the road.

Me to dispatch: large wooly mammoth in road. No safe way to turn around. Narrow road, severe winter conditions. Please advise.

(The please advise makes it their problem lol).

Dispatch: can you still make On time delivery?

Me: can you send a forklift or some cowboys and Indians to.move this bison? I'm from jersey. I'm not trained in the matters of wild animal handling.

Dispatch: That's above my pay grade. What's your ETA?

Hahaha

That's hilarious. Reminds me of the time I was driving down an old dirt road miles from any kind of civilization to pick up a train crew. I came around a curve and what do I see? I kid you not, in the middle of the road stands what I still believe to be an emu with a peacock on it's back. Now I'm thinking I've lost my marbles here but sure enough the mushrooms on that pizza were not magical. I get by them and drive another 15 minutes and pick up the guys on the train and ask them about it. Turns out there's some people just across the hill from where I saw the birds that actually have several of each for pets and these 2 must have "flown the coop" so to speak. Interesting day.

Hahahha I went to pick up potatoes in ID and after checking in I was told to go around the building to back in door 25. There was a TRAIN blocking the driveway. A freaking train...in the middle of the customer's lot.

I took a picture and sent it to my FM

"Loading delayed due to train. Please inform customer my truck does not have superpowers. I'm not faster that a locomotive, nor can I leap it. They need to move this. Please."

That wasn't the only time my door was blocked by a train

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

It was winter and the lease ops won't go there. Lol its beautiful though, even at 0300 in the dark and mounds of snow.

Here's another....

I pull into a customer and see a Prime truck parked next to me. I sorta waved without looking. Then did a double take. A six foot Panda bear was seat belted in the passenger seat. I think I might still have the picture.

And a lot of dogs sit in the drivers seat looking human lol

I've seen more than a few stuffed animals in the passenger seat. What's that about?

Anyone at the Kingman AZ Petro tonight saw me,..

This one guys eyes popped out of his head. I raised my hand "sorry Team truck. Not my drive shift".

He nodded "understood " and he laughed and walked away. My hair looked like an 80s porn star and my eyes were glued shut. I was probably more scary looking than funny...but I thought it funny lol

Others probably thought the Walking Dead was coming true.

Put this in the column for "con for team driving". Lol

It's a series of billboards advertising for a fudge shop in the town of Uranus, Missouri. Here's my favorite: "28 miles to big fun in Uranus!"
