I currently do not have a CDL only the permit, and have made a decision to go to a company that will not only hire me but train me. Did some research before I made my pick -- Thanks to Trucking Truth and the info I've found here.
Wanted to go check out a Private School Open House, for only one reason, for the better half to see the inside of a tractor. Found one in the area and according to their website we were suppose to be able to get a ride in the rig. That didn't happen!! I was interested in seeing what the teacher to student ratio was, it was 1:4, seemed high to me. In the "on the road" training you would get 45 min to drive and then switch with another and wait 3 turns before you got your turn again.
I must say thanks again for Trucking Truth for the tips on this to help open my eyes!
