Being from California, you're pretty well set if you get out of the mindset of going to a local school. There's several schools in Salt Lake City, a few in Phoenix, and some in the greater LA/San Bern area from all the mega carriers. Just about all of them offer school at no upfront cost, with you either being paid back or having the debt forgiven after 8 months to a year.
Unless you're dead set on getting one in the bay area, I'd start putting in apps at Swift, CR England, Knight Transportation, etc. There's also a form that will send in an application to numerous companies at once though this site by clicking "Companies + Job Listings" in the top banner.
Nothing is affordable in the Bay Area.

Hi! I am new here. I would like to start a career in trucking so I am looking for an affordable trucking school here in Bay area especially near Daly City. There was this Central Truck Driving school in Hayward but unfortunately, it is already closed. I tried the links provided from the DMV and most of the numbers I called are already not in service.
I would appreciate much if anyone could refer a truck driving schools that could help me obtain the CDLA.
