Hi Kevin,
Welcome and good luck. Admittedly, I don't know much about Schneider's dry van division, but I am one of their bulk drivers. The training will be excellent, and you will be well taken care of. The facilities are all top-notch. Everyone in the company is friendly and helpful, and will treat you with the utmost respect. You will be given nearly everything you need to be a successful driver, and the rest you will pick up or acquire while on the road, figuring it out as you go along. If and when you do find yourself needing information or documents or anything necessary to complete a job, don't get frustrated, just ask lots of questions, and rest assured, you will get what you need, and it'll come with a smile. The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.Dry Van:

I'm starting orientation on Tuesday 8/8/ 2017. I am going dry van OTR 11 on 3 off. I'm going to stay doing that at least a year cuz I know I don't know #$%^. After that I guess I'll know more about what I want to drive and where. They are giving me .38 a mile which was more than others in my area. I live in Wi. I guess i just want a little more info on what to expect. Forewarned is forearmed. Good numbers to all.
OTR:
Over The Road
