If you have a current CDL then you can do that. There is no time limit involved.

Hello, I have a questions. If someone went to trucking school and had there class A but moved to another state and had to let it go, can they get it back without going back to school and what would they have to do to get it back in California.

My friends father has a CDL A permit and access to a truck to take his skills test. He asked me if I could ride with him in the truck to the DMV to take the tests. I have had my CDL for 21 months in Illinois. Does anyone if there is a certain amount of time before I can be the licensed passenger of a permit driver?
