One more thing.

Make sure your truck is WELL STOCKED. There's no clean drinking water except bottled water down there at the moment. Take a minimum of 2 cases of water with you as well as a weeks worth of food you can eat on their truck.

Also, fuel up BEFORE you get into Texas. They aren't OUT of fuel, but supplies are pretty limited at the moment due to transportation issues and water contamination in and around Houston.

So go prepared.

I realize this is just for fuel haulers but you said you'd be pulling for an oil company so it could possibly apply in that situation.

ChickieMonster, you are awesome. Thank you for everything.

My company is going to fly me in to Houston from Denver. I will drive my company's tractor from the terminal , there. I will see how that goes and let everyone know. Tonight, my boss said there was a lot of planning going on and I didn't hear of plans to stop the operation, so as far as I know, I'll still be going, too.

I will definitely stock up on fluids and food, if I am able to check those through on the flight. If I can take my electric, plug-in cooler for the cab, I'm going to do that too. No kidding. I'll box and tape it up, if need be.

Thank you so much,

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
