As Brett and others have mentioned before; bust your butt and prove yourself and the opportunities will come.

I will be joining the Amazon drivers as a team reefer driver. My DM thanked me for having a negative safety score (that is a good thing at Swift), a 100% on time service record, and for being customer service minded. Those are the reasons she offered me the chance.

I will be teaming until summer time at which point my codriver and I will split so we can have our kids ride with us, and then team back up once our boys are back in school.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Reefer:

A refrigerated trailer.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Hey Big T...great news. You should be busier than a flytrap in a candy factory this time of year. Grocery, just-in-time?

Please try to update the forum on the Amazon Account; what it's like, expectations, etc. Best of luck. Safe travels!

Will do G-town. Yes I guess Amazon ships some snack pack things and groceries that require a team.

My fleet managed to lose the Amazon Fresh account to the West Valley crew. I will still team just not on Amazon. As I told my manager this morning: "As long as the paycheck hits my account I dont care what I'm pulling behind me."

If there is an interest I will still post about running team.

I believe a diary of teaming up (with a relative stranger?) is a good idea.

Neil made the offer lol.

He is not a complete stranger, but would still be considered a relative stranger. We went to the Swift Academy in Fontana together.

Being a classmate and living in a 6 x 6 space are different games though that is for sure.
