Welcome Justin.
Swift may require you to attend mentoring school first before training her. If it were me, l'd want to take that route.
Fairly sure they'll allow you to team with her going forward.
Thanks for the quick response! And I'd have no problem attending a mentoring program, I expected something of the sort. Any idea on how long that would be?
I would imagine so. When I went through Swift orientation a couple of weeks ago (Lancaster, TX terminal), a mom with several months of driving experience brought her son with her (who only has a few weeka of experience). She went through the mentor class the for the day and a half after orientation and is now training him. Once his training phase is complete, they plan on teaming for a while.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
All right, that's good to hear. Thanks for the input, she's really nervous about being out with a stranger. So if this works out for us then great, hopefully we can get on to a dedicated gig after some time there.
The Swift recruiter is the one who can answer this question. Three years ago I went through Swift (Still there). I understood that your spouse can take the classes free of charge, and you supervise her road training. Call the recruiter to finalize the details.

Hey guys, sorry if this topic has been covered but I couldn't find anything on it. Basically my wife is interested in getting her cdl , potentially through swift's training program. I have 4 years experience, with the last 3 years being local. I was wondering if they would allow me to train her, and basically run teams once she completes their training? I've contacted them and I'm waiting for a response. Just wondering if anyone knew anything about this? Thanks for the input.
