Jim Palmer and Wil-Trans are both owned by the same family. They are closely aligned with Prime Inc which is where they get a lot of their freight, but they're run as completely separate companies from Prime. They do their own hiring, dispatching, training, and things of that nature.

Follow that link above and you'll find several pages of information about them.

You can also apply for company-sponsored CDL training right here on our website. It's a very short application and we'll forward it to 7 different companies to see which ones you qualify for, including Jim Palmer and Wil-Trans. There's no obligation to work for any of them but you'll get a chance to speak with their recruiters and learn more about their programs.

Wil-Trans:

Darrel Wilson bought his first tractor in 1980 at age 20, but, being too young to meet OTR age requirements, he leased the truck out and hired a driver.

Through growth and acquisition, Wil-Trans now employs over 200 drivers, and has a long-standing partnership with Prime, Inc. to haul their refrigerated freight. The family of businesses also includes Jim Palmer Trucking and O & S Trucking.
