I seen this some where. I think. But I am going to the Charlotte location for swift training Jan 29th And I’ve been saving up. And unfortunately. I got hit by a deer. And I had to take out some money. And now I have about 300. How much money would I need to last for training or until I get my first check ?

Some trainers will pay for some or all of your meals while training. I said some not all. When i was training with swift I went through about $500 during school and training. My trainer didn't help at all, although a couple guys that went through the academy with me their trainers did pay for meals. Least they could do since they are making all the money for us driving rofl-2.gif

You think $500 is good enough ? I’m a skinny dude. But I sure do love to eat hahah.

I agree with Jim and I do my best to make sure my trainees are treated to some nice meals and provide their showers.

Tonight we were lucky enough to be in Morris, IL at the TA and my treat for my trainee was dinner and gourmet cupcakes from "R" Place. If anyone has never eaten there, you're missing out on some of the best food available on the road.

$500 should be plenty; my trainer wasn't as gracious as Susan, I think the extent of his benevolence was spotting me a shower at a Pilot! Buying groceries at a Walmart or other grocery store, eating out of your truck and not from a truck stop or other fast food eatery... and you'll spend far less money while eating healthier.
