I recently his a deer and did $3000 damage to my car. Does that count as an accident in regards to the question on a trucker application?

You mean a deer hit you, lol. You could put it down but it is considered an act of nature.

Yes, I also bagged a deer when it jumped into the road and hit my truck during training. It's mostly avoidable

Yes, in trucking, deer hit you.

Oops! I meant to say NOT avoidable. Other than safe driving, you have no control or maybe even knowledge of when deer might be present and jumpy.

I had a deer suicide itself on my truck last spring. The only time in my entire life I had a "run in", so to speak, with a deer while operating a motor vehicle.

I'm thinking that since the State owns the deer the State should be responsible for the damage that its livestock cause.
