Batteries...

Most of the time my first PTI is conducted in morning darkness. Thus my flashlight must be in good working order. Everyday this week it's been at or near zero degrees f in my neck of the frozen woods. Battery life degrades quickly, 60% faster when it's sub-freezing. Keep a stock of fresh replacements handy.
