Does anyone work for dm bowman?

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

D M Bowman Willamsport Md Dry Box Van, Flat Bed, and Dry Bulk Over the road and local work available. All the truck will be automatic Volvos or Mack/Volvo day cabs, The sleeper will be No thrills ie no tv, microwave, or cooler (refridrator) provided. The trucks come with CB radios, and there are no assigned trucks. We slip-seat trucks, some drivers are prestine clean other drivers leave a mess. All trucks must be parked at the yard there is no taking the truck home. Each terminal has a unique personality along with the shop, not all locations have a shop on site. Equipment is maintained and taken care of, any issues found are taken care of. Pay wise depends on if your over the road or local, each division (profit center) has its own pay scale. The pay is average, not the best not the worst. There are minimum pay options depending upon what your doing, example Local 900 gross a week With Hazmat Without 775 gross Without Hazmat. Check out indeed or glass door for a better idea on pay. I currently run local no minimum pay option so each weeks pay varies. It's the land of opportunity they are constantly putting out job opportunies for team and decicated routes. I have been treated fairly and would advise anyone It's a decent place to work. With any trucking job there are high and low points

HAZMAT:

Hazardous Materials

Explosive, flammable, poisonous or otherwise potentially dangerous cargo. Large amounts of especially hazardous cargo are required to be placarded under HAZMAT regulations

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Over The Road:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Day Cab:

A tractor which does not have a sleeper berth attached to it. Normally used for local routes where drivers go home every night.
