Glass drivers pull glass mainly but will occasionally haul regular flatbed freight (coils, lumber etc) for backhauls. They run all 48 and Canada and stay out a minimum of 2 weeks with 3 or 4 being recommended.
I have a friend that hauls glass out of Corsicana for them, he said he’s home weekly.
There are some dedicated accounts in certain spots, but otr is 2 weeks minimum.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
When I spoke to the recruiter from Maverick he told me that temp control and glass are out 2 to 3 weeks at a time.
I appreciate the feedback guys. I have relayed all this as well as some other comments from friends who work for Glass OTR.

I have a question. A friend of mine who is going to Maverick was accepted into their OTR Glass Position. Do they run mainly glass or is it a mix of everything that a typical flatbed truck runs? Anything else you tell me about OTR glass division would be great too.
