The large amount of people entering trucking is probably due to those without jobs and thinking &quot;anyone can drive a truck&quot;. 

Another hard thing to learn/get used to is getting paid by the mile and not by the hour. And all the ups and downs with the paycheck. If you can get 6 months to 1 year in as an OTR driver, the money made is good. The first year is tough as you get &quot;into&quot; your job and the confidence builds--a good attitude will also help this.</description>
