Truck Driver Training: How To Handle The Time On The Road With Your Trainer
The month or two you will spend at truck driving school is going to teach you the basics of what you need to know in order to pass your CDL exam. The real training will begin once you get out on the road with a trainer – and the rest you will have to learn on your own. A lot of people coming out of school have the wrong attitude and take the wrong approach to their time with a trainer, so I’m gonna talk a little bit about the right way to handle it. Getting to know me…
I try to lead a simple life, I’m not after riches untold or fame, I prefer to love, live, and be free. There is always someone out there that wants to control those things that I hold dear. For instance … I once had a boss that couldn’t stand the fact that I was happy in my life. He never wanted to get to know me or understand where I stood. He wanted me to be like the rest of his drivers. These drivers were always griping about their wives and how the law was against everyone and how they hated to work, on an on and on. It was very nerve-wracking for some one of a happy nature to be around people who wanted to lead a depressed life. So I tended to ignore those types as much as possible. Be as that may, there were times when I would have to work in close quarters with said ‘want to be depressed people’, and finally one day….. Continue reading
