Mike,

I really enjoyed reading your posts! I did not realize you were such an eloquent righter, you really paint a vivid picture.
Hope all is well, Dan and I went out the other night and got totally smashed. We miss hanging out with you dude but i am glad you are happy.
Not much else on the news front, i broke my engagement with Nicole...that was messy let me tell you...well i am not really going to tell you.
The weather is finally starting to turn so I have been riding the busa as much as possible.
I just wanted to apologize for one thing, I am totally one of those jerks who passes on the right when I am on the busa...sometimes when i am in the car as well.
Speaking of car, do you miss driving the Speed3? I sure as hell would, that car kicks ass!
Well i better get back to work, stay safe and take care.

Rose: Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm glad you're here checking out your son's handy work. This site and Brett's book helped me out more than Brett will know and is helping who knows how many other people. I'm glad you're enjoying my blog!

Rhonda: It's funny how some of these truck stops treat drivers, as if we don't take note of the poor service or crappy facilities. Then they wonder why they can't stay in business. Hmmmm.

John: Thank you for your kind comment! I'm so glad my blog is helping you out. Please don't ever hesitate to contact me if I can be of any assistance.

Dad: When I first started writing this blog, I never imagined how much it would help share with everyone what's going on in my life. I'm glad I'm able to write and keep everyone updated on my life. And I guess I've come a long way since "Young Authors" huh? :-D

Lisa: I'm glad you've become addicted! :-D It's a lot of fun for me to share my experiences and I'm glad it's become such a great way to keep in touch with you all. Your support also really means a lot to me. I'm very fortunate to have the family that I do. Love you too, and give the girls a big hug and kiss for me! ....Ok, you can give Josh a hug too, but no kiss!

Michael, I love this one! It was SO neat to hear little snippets of stories! I feel like I was on the road with you, a little snapshot during moments you remember most and wanted to write about. I have quickly grown addicted to seeing where you are on GPS (like Dad said, it's a "Guess where TruckerMike is at!") and I love catching up with you on this blog! Granted, I can't WAIT to catch up with you in person when you make it back home again, but this really does feel like what Dad described....that you dropped in at home to say hi and tell us how things are going.

I also think it's fantastic that through your blogging, someone interested in becoming a truck driver as you have can read for themselves a first-hand account of all that you've gone through... researching, schooling, testing, getting that job, that first big "out on the open road" trip, etc etc. How great!

LOVE YOU and keep truckin' along! MISS YOU!

Your Favorite and Very Proud Sister,
Lisa :)

TruckerMike --

Thanks for the frequent reports on your blog! You are experiencing an adventure that few mortals dare tread, so sharing your journey helps your mom and I adjust to you being away. Reading your stories are as if you dropped in at home to say hi..., tell us how your day has been..., then off to play outside somewhere. I also need to thank your schools for teaching you how to write so well. What a surprise! They did a better job with you than I thought they did. Keep writing from the heart, telling about life as it is, and live your dreams. Also, following you on your GPS tracker has become a habitual activity for your family and friends. I wake up every morning to, “Guess where TruckerMike is at!” …It’s comforting to know that you’re out having fun, while I can keep an eye on where you are in your travels…

Mike,

Great comments! I am currently investigating a 2nd career in trucking after my retirement in my first. My father drove a truck to 30+ years and I feel "pulled" to trucking. Your comments are greatly assisting in my decision making process. For that I thank you. Keep up the posting.

What a nice story to read. Great touch on the comments to the different places. You will have many more on the list of good or bad. I had a few like that on the bad list that I marked off for truckstops.

Hi Mike,

It is great reading your blogs. You add a lot to the website. I am Brett's mom and you are very similar to him. The outstanding character you both have really is displayed any time you speak. I have heard thousands of Brett's stories over the years and never get sick of hearing them. There isn't another job where you will get the experience you are getting now. For you, there will never be any surprises as to what people will do. You will know what a person is like within a few minutes. You are so lucky to be able to document everything. It will be priceless to you someday.

Best wishes,

Rose
