The weather is one of those things that we truckers deal with and shutting down is the best idea to stay safe and sometimes your employer will also mandate it thru the qualcomm. No load is ever that important. Even tho you are on the way to my business and I am expecting you at 8am tomorrow, I would much rather see you later in the day or the next day with my load INTACT AND SAFE verses the phone call telling me that it is scattered all over the road and 100% ruined. Now I am upset and may never use this carrier again. Most will understand the delay with zero problems and those who don&#039;t just have no clue and we won&#039;t go there.  

You have driven enough now with light and heavy loads and you can see it makes all the differance with wind and your speed and other things that a driver deals with. I hauled those light loads for a long time and you have to be really careful on winter roads.

As far as the construction zones go, you are to drive the posted limit or below and we all know how the 4-wheelers act so don&#039;t let it get to you. If you had wrecked in those baricades, there would have been a very long wait for all. Because the public (mostly the cars and a few bad truckers too) does not care about those construction zones and seem to enjoy killing those workers, that is why we now see those HURT OR KILL A WORKER, SPEND YOUR TIME IN JAIL signs.

Unbelievable! This was never anything you saw growing up in the 50&#039;s,60&#039;s and 70&#039;s and also into the 80&#039;s. I am one of those who does UNDER that posted speed by 5mph in my personal car and semi too but conditions with the semi may force me to go slower. To the workers like I was out there, the semi&#039;s who do the speed limit seem to us like they are speeding and that is why I also go a little slower as I don&#039;t want them to call the law on me. So you may want to keep that in mind.</description>
