Truck Driver Training - Finding A Truck Driving School, Getting Your CDL

The Truck Drivers' Responsibility - A typical story you'll hear a truck driver tell after his rig has tipped over is, “I was going around the curve on the offramp and the load shifted causing the truck to tip.”	First Step To Trucking Happiness So I immediately called a private truck driving school and made an appointment. My ma said she would pay for the schooling for me (I gave her a combination of a good sales pitch with some guilt thrown in) and within a month I was in school to become a truck driver... the start of my odyssey.

Over The Road - Over the road driving usually entails staying out on the road for at least three weeks at a time. Let me say this right off...if you have a family, and you would like to KEEP that family....stay away from this option. It's a family killer. I've seen it a million times.
Types Of Truck Driving Schools Generally speaking there are a couple different types of schools you can attend. Honestly this isn't necessarily that critical of a decision. I have known tons of people that have gone through one type or the other and both seem to do just fine.	Getting Truck Driver Training On The Road Ok so now you've made it through truck driving school, you have your CDL, you found the company you want to work for, and you've gotten hired.Congratulations!Your first job in your new career.
