The Truck Driver is responsible for operating trucks to transport dirt, aggregate, asphalt, and other materials and/or equipment to various job site locations. Will also work in the yard area to stockpile and move materials as needed. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment/trucks. Work will be performed per the supervisor’s instruction, free from direct supervision except for more complicated jobs.
Our Local Delivery Drivers provide excellent customer service through the safe and efficient delivery of parts and products to local stores using a company provided vehicle. A Truck Driver is typically a senior driver with a Class A CDL and extensive experience and skills. This is a CDL qualified position responsible for the transportation of all classes of oversized and overweight loads. This position is also responsible for maintaining proper and accurate paperwork and ensuring a professional appearance with all vehicles. This position is accountable for basic and safe operation of all equipment. Drivers in this classification are also responsible to ensure they have all required permits before delivery.
Job Summary: Drives and safely operates a truck with a gross vehicle weight capacity greater than 10,001 lbs to deliver company transfers and customer orders, may include manual load/unload truck, verifies products, obtains confirmation signatures from receiving location, and travels to and/or from the warehouse or cross dock location. Must be open to work night time schedule. *(Gross vehicle weight refers to either (a) the actual weight of the vehicle, inclusive of cargo, or (b) the gross vehicle weight rating, which is assigned by the manufacturer)
Essential Job Duties:
Drives truck to transfer product between locations, wholesaler and drop box locations in outlying markets. Transportation of product is usually made over long distances via interstate, crossing state lines. Driver may operate within state lines but product continues to travel outside state lines once delivered to the location.

UPS Freight is hiring individuals to work as full-time Dockworkers with a CDL license. This position that involves the physical moving of freight into and out of trailers in a timely manner, by handling the freight manually, or using a forklift or hand truck. Forklift experience is not required but preferred.
