In the Commercial Driver Training Program, there are two course options:
Commercial Driver's License: This course provides classroom study, driving instruction, and experience to prepare students for the State of Washington Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A exam and entry-level employment as a truck driver with no airbrake restrictions and endorsements for doubles and triples, tankers and hazardous material. Prerequisite: Completed Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Pro- gram Application with supporting documents (F,W,S,Su)
CDL Skill Improvement: Extra driving time and instruction to enhance student’s driving skills and/or update their qualification for testing. This is an open enrollment course offered throughout each quarter. May be repeated for credit; graded on pass-fail basis. Prerequisite: Instructor permission
Classes are held daily, 7:30am-4pm
Tuition is broken down by credits and student status.
Resident Tuition: 1st-10th credits: $107.59 (per credit), 11th-18th credits: $53.26 (per credit), 18+ credits: $96.53 (per credit)
Non-resident: 1st-10th credits: $121.73 (per credit), 11th-18th credits: $54 (per credit), 18+ credits: $96.53 (per credit)
International/Non-resident: 1st-10th credits: $285.01 (per credit), 11th-18th credits: $60.48 (per credit), 18+ credits: $273.95 (per credit)
Refugee: 1st-10th credits: $121.73 (per credit), 11th-18th credits: $54 (per credit), 18+ credits: $96.53 (per credit)
BBCC will calculate your eligibility for aid on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible students as determined by federal, state, and institutional regulations, policies and procedures. Your eligibility will be determined using the information you, and in some cases your parents, submit on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA.
The Post-9/11 Veteran Benefit is for individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate active duty service on or after September 11, 2001, or individuals discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days. You must have received an honorable discharge to be eligible for the Post-9/11 Veteran Benefit.
