Carroll Community College CDL Training

Extensive coursework

Caroll Community College, in partnership with Hagerstown Community College (HCC), offers a CDL-A license in 280 coursework hours, and a CDL-B Hospitality license in 65 hours. CDL-B Hospitality completers will earn two additional certifications - Brake Adjustment Certification and Certified Guest Service Professional (GSP Gold).

Admission and Tuition

The cost of training for the CDL-A is $3,642, and the CDL-B Hospitality is $1,758, not including any required textbooks and related materials, applicable licensing fees, background check fees, testing fees or prerequisite courses.

For information on obtaining a Learner's Permit, call the MVA).For assistance with tuition, the school accepts Veterans GI Bill benefits, federal education tax benefits including the American Opportunity Credit and Lifetime Learning Credit, and a deferred payment plan. To register, you must present:

  • Valid Maryland Driver's License
  • Current copy of your MVA driving record
  • DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • Current Maryland CDL Learner's Permit with a CDL-A or CDL-B Hospitality endorsement
  • Pass a drug screening.

  • CDL-B Hospitality: Air Brakes, General Knowledge, and Passenger
