College of Southern Maryland

The College of Southern Maryland is a public, regional community college with a far-reaching mission – to help students and community meet the challenges of individual, social, and global changes. Courses Offered

Before registering for classes, there are certain prerequisites and forms you must submit. Read the Commercial Truck Driving Training Program Student Information Packet before moving forward.

Commercial Driver's License Class A

Commercial Driver's License Class B

Class Schedule

CDL Class A: Monday through Thursday, 6:30am-5pm

CDL Class B: Monday though Thursday, 7am-5pm

Tuition and Fees

Class initial tuition/fees: $3,860. Student responsible for DOT Physical and Drug Screening, as well as Learner's Permit.

Financial Aid

The CSM Foundation occasionally receives donations from organizations and individuals who wish to provide financial assistance to our students. When funds are available, CSM offers financial assistance to students who meet specific eligibility criteria and plan to enroll in selected career development training courses. If the student meets all of the eligibility guidelines, they could be granted up to 50% of the cost of the class.

Veterans Benefits

CSM is approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Maryland Higher Education Commission, so that eligible veterans, servicepersons, and certain dependents of veterans can receive VA educational benefits.
