Veteran looking to get into trucking with two pets.

Oh and my friend who started with Melton (but he's since moved on I believe) said he had the option of picking a pet friendly trainer. Is that just a Melton thing then?

You will actually have to have someone pet sit BOTH of them while you're with a trainer. There are some companies that will allow 2 pets but not many. Are they big, small, dogs, cats or what?

Sorry I should have mentioned that. One is a cat and the other is a 50lb dog.

Veteran looking to get into trucking with two pets.

Hey yall I'm a US Navy vet and after some soul searching I'm trying to make the move into being a trucker and I'm looking for some guidance.

First and foremost speed is crucial, it doesn't matter if it's the best deal on earth if it takes me 6 months to get started, because my savings are starting to run dry and I don't think it will be easy to get any job if I don't have a house and/or car.

I don't have my CDL so I have to find a place to get one, I heard some places that will pay you to get your CDL, that seems like a deal too good to be true to me. Are those companies typically not so great and they use that as a lure or are there actual decent companies with such programs?

As stated in the title I have two pets. Now I understand I may have to get someone to pet sit at least one of them when I'm riding with a trainer but afterwords it's very important to me that I get to keep both of them (let's just say they've both helped me through a very very rough period in my life). My friend told me there are companies with pet policies but I'm having trouble finding how common it is to let you have two pets on the truck with you. Are there any companies that have pet policies like that which are beginner driver friendly?

If it helps answer any of these question like I said I'm a US Navy vet and I'm located in the San Antonio, TX area.

Thank yall ahead of time for your help!
