Quick question

Because those generally cost 8-12000 a month

So you want a trailer just to serve as a rolling billboard for your home loan business.

Why not rent a billboard beside a busy Interstate? Zero maintenance, zero carrying cost, no depreciation, no high insurance and no liability.

Quick question

My goal is to purchase a trailer to rent to people so i can advertise my primary business on the sides of the trailer, that way i can give the trailers for cheaper than what people are currently paying...thats why i am in search of a place where I can list it for rent because I dont want to purchase it then get stuck with it...hope that helps you understand my position...thanks for your input

Hey rob, I misunderstood your question.

Most of not all individuals that rent trailers want you to drive for them.

There's two things about trailers right now. It's almost impossible to find one to buy right now let alone rent because the freight market is so tight right now.

Also, most places I know of don't rent just one trailer. They require you to have a fleet.

One recommendation I could give is AAA freight out of the south side of Chicago. I don't know if they have any trailers, but I rented one from them a few years ago and they treated me well

Quick question

my end game is that I am trying to purchase a trailer and rent it out myself and I will do it much cheaper than what i am seeing on the websites you are referring to...I am looking to put an ad for my other business (home loans) on the sides of the trailers and this is why i am interested in purchasing then renting a dry van trailer....

I can't tell what your end game is. Are you just trying to find something inexpensive? People who own trailers for lease are generally in the business of making money off their investment. There are a lot of places that lease trailers. What is your opposition to them? Individuals who own trailers are generally using them to make money - they don't want to rent them to others. I don't know of a way to cut the price down on an essential part of a business plan. The only way I know to cut out that cost is to go "power only." Of course that cuts into the rates you can charge too.

Quick question

Yes i am looking for private owners? like a forum where these things are posted or a craigslist type thing...any idea?

If you google "semi trailer rental" you'll find a number of companies in that business. Are you looking for something different, like private owners renting out their trailers?
