Wilson Logistics Training: Start Date: 12/13/21. A Librarian Learns Trucking!
Stevens had driver counselors thru training and your first year. I spoke w him weekly and was required to stop in to speak w him if I was on the yard. My dispatch/dm only handled my loads etc Other than hometime I spoke to counselor. I never knew how many drivers one dm had there. Thinking back I know they worked congruently. Rambling again. Glad your doing well.

There are youtube videos on backing. They could help w a reference point. Obviously you have to just do the maneuvers. Backing a truck is more frustrating than golf. I am just an ugly bobblehead though. Good luck. I hope you succeed. I do believe this group is pulling for you. And if you read thru the site its not the place for sexist bs racism etc. Let the good lord shine a light

Looking for a good paying, honest company
Ok, I saw another post by you discussing miles. 2000 miles per week. If thats in 7 days w a 34 reset every week . Thats about 51,300 a year. I cant explain in words my formula but if you work 7 days w 34 reset its not multiplied by 52. Talk w dispatch or dm to see how to run more miles. I have not heard too many negatives on gp transco.

Gp Transco advertises base pay of .60 cpm plus accessorial pay(??). Up to .66cpm. 2500 miles a week at .60 is 78k Have you driven w them a full year? What is your average weekly miles?

Mama's don't let your babies grow up to cowboy's. Dont let them pick guitars and drive them old trucks. Let them be doctors lawyers and such Lonestar belt buckles and old faded levis And each night begins a new day If you don't understand him, an' he don't die young He'll prob'ly just ride away

It takes a special person to be a lifelong true chef. You give up a lot of what society says is the normal life. Once its in your blood its nearly impossible to let go. I am a chef who drove a truck for almost two years. A chef dangled a carrot for me to return I did. I hate it. But I thrive at it. It takes an even more special person to drive a truck for life. I am determined to do it again. I long for it. Its a similar career if you break both down to its bare bones. 1) you sacrifice holidays, b-days, funerals, births, etc to deliver your product. 2) you hate it, but g$&dam$it u love it at the same time. 3) somewhat low pay for a lot of sacrifice(trucking is paying better than cheffing rt now) Both are careers w daily curve balls thrown at you. At the end of the day you may be ecstatic at your accomplishments. Or breakdown and cry b/c you feel if you have let someone down or just feel beat by the careers system. Go forth my friend follow your dreams. If it slaps you back to reality suck it up buttercup. Dont let whining deter you. It will royally suck at times, find a way to persevere and succeed. Let the good lord shine a little light on you!
