Started applying to different company paid schools

Christopher, I've actually done the same thing with woodworking for cash so I can relate. I didn't have any tax papers for it either, it was just work on the side.

You need to get a long list of people that can verify your custom woodworking self employment. Try to contact previous customers. I know that when I did work I wrote down all my customers' information and I had records of them on my email. So try to talk to them and see if they are willing to help you out. But you need to gather a long list of people that can verify your self employment and apply to every single company out there.

By the way, here's some of my work. Woodworking is definitely one of my passions that I will continue when I retire! These planter boxes were made out of redwood and I also cemented the interior to make it last forever. I sold them for a very nice profit! Don't mean to hijack your thread boss, but always nice to see a woodworker.

Need SomeTips For Trucking School!

Yup, first step is high road training. But since your going to Knight and need your permit before you get there so you probably already knew that.

Best thing I can tell you is keep your ears open and your mouth shut. I don't mean do not ask questions, you need to clarify anything that you don't understand. But in the short time I've been in this it's hard to believe how many people don't seem to want to listen when instructors are trying to help.

Follow instructions. You are in school but they are watching what is going on. Assume everything they ask you to do is a test, because it probably is.

Be selectful of the students you hang with, if any. It will not take long to figure out who is there to work and who is just testing the waters to see if trucking is for them. It's ok to enjoy yourself when the time is right but when your in the classroom or on the range it is time to be working so don't let other people slow your learning down.

Study your ass off on the pretrip from day one. Most of the people in my class (different school same concept) were worried and cramming the last couple days after they had had three weeks to prepare.

When your on the range get out and look. The more you GOAL the quicker you will get your perception correct on where the trailer is. At first you may think the back of the trailer is one place but then you GOAL and find out its not even close to where you thought it was.

Woody

Thank you Woody will definitely be careful of the people that hang around...and most important listen to the instructors studying for my pre trip now and yes I have my permit..again Thank for that great info... Stay safe out there
