Hogan.

Get a TWIC, Hazmat, and Tanker endorsements and you will have the job you are seeking with Hogan.

Containers. Hogan is expanding in the container market out of Columbus.

I don't think they do CDL school though

How is this company to work for?

Marc Lee worked for them for a tad bit; look up his name/diary ... I'd link it, but it's too much on this PC with a torn r/cuff, atm! You'll find it. Glad to see you are still pursuing your career!

Best wishes;

~ Anne ~

I just read all of it, kind of scared me away from them. Awe well...try and find another company I guess.

Now I'm worried

I know becoming a professional driver. Ones with some apprehension, but I am being told I'm to much of a "people person" to drive a truck. I actually enjoy my alone time a lot more than people think. Being a minister I do talk with a lot of people, but when it comes to down time I enjoy the peace and quiet.

Trucking companies and COVID Vaccine

This whole conversation could have been stopped with if you want the vaccine get it if you don't want it do not. No guilt no blaming just as simple as that. It is a free country (or used to be), full of free thinkers (again used to be), that rationalized everything.

Permit

My girlfriends father is a ex truck driver, he retired from the teamsters, He is checking with some people he knows to see if they can train me locally so I can get home on a regular basis. If not I will be attending a CDL school. I realize that a company sponsored CDL school is best for training, but if I can get a job driving and get consistent home time with training, as a minister I have to take that option. If it does not work out I will stay at least a year, and then move on.

Permit

I passed my permit test!!!! Although it is just a written test I was a bundle of nerves! The first thing when I go into the license bureau a guy said he has been driving for 20 years and wished he picked something different...Not a problem I see people like that in every career honestly

A big shout out and thanks to Brett for this wonderful site and The High Road training by Brett could not have passed without it. Thank you, very truly thank you

Christopher! , IMHO .... that's the 'hard part!!' I got that far myself, twice.. .LoL.

Congrats, good sir. Great to have you here, in Trucking Truth!!

To the guy that said 'wish he'd picked something different ...' was that Johnothan's dad, perhaps ?!?!?

Fed-up With the Trucking Industry

If I am getting this right (I am not a driver yet), you ignored all advice on here about dollar accounts, you are angry that you failed and are blaming everyone and everything else besides yourself. I hate yo tell you but in every profession you will struggle with that attitude. The best attitude is treat others the way you want to be treated (Golden Rule, Matthew 7:12), always look to yourself for ways to improve instead of pointing your finger because you will always have 3 pointing back at you, and finally if you go in with a ****y attitude and an attitude that you things are never your fault you will fail at absolutely every industry you work in.

Godspeed on your next endeavour, I pray that you will find happiness, but as a minister I can tell you happiness can only be found in Christ
