Getting 2 medical certificate?

Thank you for posting, I found a lot of interesting information here. A really good post, very thankful and helpful.

I looked all over for information and couldn't find anything. I knew I couldn't have been the first one in this situation, and I appreciate all the help.

The people here seem friendly and helpful. I especially like the diaries here. I've read several of them, and they've been very informative.

Only your most recent one counts. You can't have two.

My recent one would be the one I just got. The original is on a Pending Determination status for 45 days, so it was neither approved nor disapproved. I read that you are allowed a second opinion, and I got sick of their games. That's why I went elsewhere and paid out of pocket. That person was a professional and didn't treat me like a child. The original examiner was condescending, judgmental, and unprofessional.

I'm just ready to move to the next step with or without Roehl. I studied for my CLP for the past month that I can take it in my sleep now.

Getting 2 medical certificate?

I may be in a situation where I might have 2 medical certificates from 2 different doctors, and I don't know if that is good, bad, or indifferent.

Originally, I was pursuing employment with Roehl and their CDL program. I hit a brick wall with the medical certificate, because they wanted forms filled out by my doctor. One of these was about substance abuse for hydrocodone which is crap, because I just had a tooth surgically removed a few days before the exam. I wasn't even taking it by the time of the exam. I had to wait 2 weeks to see my doctor, so he could go over the forms with me.. which he thought was stupid, because he does medical certifications for pilots.

So after the forms are filled out, I go back to the exam place and now they want medical records and a statement from the orthodontist that I'm no longer on hydrocodone. By this point, I was ****ed because I hoped to be in training by now, because I need work. I even had receipts to prove my tooth was pulled.

So, I went to an examiner that my brother in law goes to for his medical card, and I got my certificate through him. I didn't lie or say anything different, other than hydrocodone which is no longer a "thing" since it was over 2 weeks ago that I took it.

I figured I would just get my certificate on my own, get my permit, and then apply with Swift since they are closer and have a scholarship program for Veterans.

Should I even bother with the other examiner and Roehl now, or should I just follow through as a backup plan? I could wind up with 2 certificates or 1 pass and 1 fail. I'm not sure i really want to go to Roehl at this point.
