Can someone clear this up? So did Chris W have a Mack anthem loose the anthem, get a Cascadia sleeper, and give it up for a pinnacle? I really like Mack I think the bulldog is awesome and the anthems are really cool looking but if he does long haul cross country why is he trading a sleeper for day cab? No disrespect just a actual question.

I officially start Schneider ground school tomorrow at 9:45 am but got a little bit of a 50min drive and because I want to be early I will be leaving at 8am.
I am both excited and nervous. Questions: What can I expect on my first day? Any tips for getting overwhelmed? I am just starting ground school so don't think there's anything like loads with experienced driver but I heard that when those start they can be really stressful. Any tips for when those start? Also what should I expect to learn during ground school? What will I be doing?

A few factors were they have several different endorsements I can work up to and I was told that really helps get to specific trucking career goals. Also they are very supportive. They didn't rush me in getting the CLP fast, they congratulated me for passing, answered my question directly and elaborated on a few things I didn't understand. They scheduled the start but they are being supportive and asked if I needed more time before I start and took time to answer all my questions. CFI will definitely be considered if something doesn't work out with Schneider.
What factors influenced your decision?

I fortunately passed the general knowledge, airbrakes, and combined vehicle test. So got my CLP and re-apply for Schneider also applied for CFI after reading up on them. So question is which is better schneider or CFI?

Schneider called and said I need to get a CLP and then re-apply. So I got the question how do I get the CLP? Do I just go and take the test? I have been studying for my class A for about 2 months and just found this forum recently. I think I would be able to just take a written test but is that all I have to do to get the CLP?

thanks for the advice
Quick answer: Yes. They are a good company. You see them all over the place. It is best to ask if you have what it takes to be good😉. Your success in this industry is determined by how well you do your job. It is important to remember that the company logo on your truck will not decide that.
I believe their training period is shorter than a lot of companies out here. Some people consider that a plus. Whereas some people prefer a longer training period to feel more comfortable when they get out on their own.
As with any company, there are good trainers and there are bad trainers. We have some drivers here who have worked for Shneider. They may be able to give you more specific info and answer any other questions you may have. If you are curious about other companies don't hesitate to ask about them too. You don't need to limit yourself to one option. There are plenty of great companies to choose from, some of which might suit you better than others.
