Dispatching for other MCs

Perhaps this has been covered already, but I didn't find it. I have my own MC and handle all the back office support for them. That said, due to equipment cost and availability, I find myself with more time than trucks which need me, and I'm looking to offer dispatching services to other small MCs that are burnt out on managing it all alone.

My question is in regards to the legal requirements to do so. I would assume a basic contract stating my % and a 1099 from the other MC would cover it, but before offering, I would like to make sure that is going to keep me out of hot water. Either I haven't spent long enough researching or I'm looking for it in the wrong places, but I haven't been able to find a clear answer, so I am reaching out here to anyone with experience who can help me out. Thanks in advance for any helpful feedback you can provide.
