Misdemeanor probation trucking school

So yes sorry If i wasn’t clear but i am looking for PAID CDL TRAINING in which I will get employment with the company that trains me.

Hello. I am highly eager to start paid trucking school however I’ve been having a few bumps in the road.

1. Speeding ticket 17 mph over 2. Misdemeanor with probation (probation doesn’t have any travel restrictions and it is over in February)

Many of the places I contacted are fine with the 17 mph and some said I should call back when my probation is over.

I have my CLP and amazing work history with Chicago public schools.

Is there any trucking school that will take me? I don’t care about traveling I am desperate

Howdy, Jermaine;

Welcome to Trucking Truth, too ~!!!

Congrats on that CDLP; Two year Med Card also? Awesome!

If you would kindly put your location (at least the state) in your profile, it'll certainly help us...help you. There are, in fact . . . a few (very few!) companies, that may give you a 2nd chance, that may not be listed in Rob T.s link. Location location location, sometimes makes or breaks ya.

HOWEVER, of COURSE any 'trucking school' will take you! They want that fat stack; doesn't mean you'll get a job, though. Your situation is exactly why it would be unconscionable not to go with company paid training, as Rob stated above. Again, Apply For Paid CDL Training. Absolutely your best bet.

Like StevoReno said, too .. your bank roll would be better in a bank, than a 'school,' per se. They OFTEN have job placement, but it's NOT a guarantee. They'll tell you what you want to hear, until they get your $6K or whatever it may be, out of you. Sure, any 'pocket paid' school would love to take you; that's NOT the way to go, mi mano. The words; 'they'll take you!'

You seriously need to 'more' than consider company paid training. It's the route to go, man. Be honest, follow the rules, study, learn, and shine. Some WILL actually accommodate that driving record. Still in Chicago? Great area, too! Company PAID; and many even feed you, house you, and some actually PAY you, in training! That link....push . the . button ! ;) ^^^^^ Here's a great many reads, for you to prepare:

Relax, too; your chances are not nil. Answer the guys above, re: date, time, frequency, and any other details that may apply to that citation. Hoping it's just one. Care to share the reasons to probation? Misdemeanor should not be a 'huge' issue; or was it associated to your D/L citation? They're (we're) not being nosy, man. This site's just seen it all. Often times, it can be done.

Stop back here; hang in. All isn't lost. The more you share, the more these moderators & professional drivers (and the wife/momma me, here) can and will, HELP!!

See ya back here soon;

~ Anne & Tom ~
