I am loving, stressed out about, and surviving CDL school. I test in 2 weeks and my biggest challenge will likely be my chicken leg (left clutch leg). The truck we use requires a lot of force to ride the clutch (press down on it to slow the speed) to do the backwards maneuvering (off set park, parallel park). My leg starts trembling before I am done. I think it unlikely that I could build up leg strength in 2 weeks to offset this. I am considering wearing 3-5lb ankle weight on my left ankle (under my pants) during the skills test and then taking off the weights for the road portion of the test. Do you know of anyone who has used an ankle weight to help with skills test? Or another option I should consider?
